Hey Hey! Well this has been a busy month for us as usual. Let's start with the joy of my life! Julian said his first word!!!! Drum roll please (buh-duh buh-duh buh-duh buh-duh)..."Hola!" It was actually "Hola, hola, hola!" I was in the other room when he said it. I denied hearing it and told Mario it didn't count if I didn't hear it because his real first word would be "Mama". Then Julian corrected me and said "Hola, hola, hola!" Ha, I love my little man. Now he says it all the time to everyone and everything. He also started waving hello (not so much goodbye, although he thinks the word "buh-bye" is hilarious). Julian also starts dancing when he hears music! He throws his hands in the air and waves them like he just don't care. He can also go from laying down to sitting up all on his own. Sometimes when he doesn't want to fall asleep he will pull himself up, face the door, cry, and wait for me to come and get him. It's hard not to laugh because he looks so stinking cute when he does it! He still isn't crawling but he does just about everything else. He scoots on his but, he rolls, he lays down and sits back up to face a different direction or rotates on his belly, he pushes off of whatever is behind him or to the side of him, and he is starting to army crawl...but still no actual crawling. Soon enough I'm sure! As far as food goes, the kid wants everything mommy or daddy has....or an occasionally dist bunny he finds on the ground.

We finally broke out the Pack N' Play... We wanted to make sure he wouldn't get bored haha |

We officially got our house! The night we got it, we had a little slumber party! It was super fun; we brought the air mattress and Julian's pack n' play, ate pizza, and watched a movie on our laptop in the living room. Julian wasn't too fond of his new room but hopefully he will get used to it once his furniture is moved in. It is surreal to think we
own the house. Hopefully we will never rent again!

So we got our house on Thursday and the following Sunday was Easter, which we spent with our friends, the Barden's, who moved to Texas the following Wednesday. Jami was my first friend in Iowa (she is the one I met in water aerobics). Mario and I are both sad to see their family leave. They have been so sweet to us! Thankfully there is technology that keeps me connected to everyone I love across this country! Okay, Easter from the beginning- That morning we all opened up our Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny :) Julian especially loved all the plastic eggs! (his were filled with yogurt drops that I made...they started melting so things got a little messy haha). Then we went to church of course. It was the one of the warmest days we have had in a long time! It was so beautiful and perfect for remembering the Savior's resurrection. After that, we went to the Barden's house and had an Easter Egg hunt with them. Julian actually managed to pick up the eggs and drop them in his little basket. It was the cutest thing! He is totally a genius ;) To finish off the day we went to our other friend's house from church for a family barbeque. It was a very busy day but full of fun and friends.

The next week was pretty much a blur- Lots of packing, loading, unloading, unpacking, and repeating. My mom and her husband came for the weekend to help us move. I don't know how we would have done it with out them! It was so nice having them with us, we just wish they could have had a little more time to relax and enjoy their company. Saturday was the official moving day and Sunday morning at 4 am Mario left for Mexico for a week. It was a wee bit crazy to say the least. By Monday morning, it was just me and Julian in our new house! I've been keeping busy getting everything in order and seeing some friends but it is undeniably quieter without Mario around. Thank goodness for Skype! That's all for now, hope you guys are doing well!
